Biosketch

Jeffrey Faus has served for 12 years as the chief writer and editor of publications with Trees for Life, a non-profit organization that serves people in developing countries. He has also served as Assistant to the President from 1995 to the present, and as Moringa Programs Director from 2004 to the present.

Mr. Faus served as a full-time volunteer with Trees for Life during 1993-1998. In 1996 he spent five months in Orissa, India as the chief writer on a research team testing the effectiveness of social marketing techniques to increase the dietary use of the leaves of the Moringa tree (Moringa oleifera) among rural people.

Mr. Faus was hired on the staff of Trees for Life in 1998. He has headed up the writing and editing team for development of newsletters, videos, websites, and other of the organization's publications. He was the chief writer and editor for a book about the Moringa tree published by Trees for Life. The book introduces the potential beneficial properties of the Moringa tree and calls for further scientific studies of its effects on malnutrition and related diseases, and is being distributed to political and scientific leaders worldwide. He has also served as a coordinator of fulltime volunteers, and as a coordinator of international projects.

Mr. Faus is also a trained musician, singer and actor, and has performed in college and community theatre productions.
