Dr. N.K. Pandeya is a retired Brig. General of the Iowa Air National Guard. He has received numerous military honors and distinctions as a Veteran Osteopathic Plastic Surgeon Specialist. His career in the fields of medicine and scientific research spans more than four decades. During 1976-1999 he served as Clinical Professor of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences, Des Moines, Iowa. During 1995-1999 he served as Adjunct Professor of Plastic Surgery at the College of Osteopathic Medicine, Kirksville, Missouri. He has state licenses to practice in Iowa, Ohio, Missouri, New York, Texas, Wisconsin, California, Hawaii, and Florida.
After completing all the examinations and flying hours, Dr. Pandeya earned the designation of Chief Flight Surgeon in the USAF. Subsequently, in 1983, he was promoted as Colonel, USAF Commander, a post that he held for over a decade. During Operation Desert Shield / Desert Storm he was commissioned to the Offutt AFB, Omaha, Nebraska. In a couple of years he rose to the position of State Air Surgeon, Des Moines, Iowa. Dr. Pandeya is Board Certified in Plastic Surgery by the American Academy of Osteopathic Surgeons and the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery. He is a Certified Fellow to entities including the American Academy of Osteopathic Surgeons, The International College of Surgeons, The American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, and The Association of Surgeons of India. He is also distinguished with citations in several national and international Who's Who directories.
